What are my payment options?
Lighthouse accepts many insurance plans. If you do not have insurance or your insurance plan does not cover treatment, an admissions counselor will be happy to discuss payment options with you. Most major credit cards are accepted. |

What type of medical staff is available?
Our team of healthcare professionals includes a medical director who is an addiction specialist, a psychiatrist, a psychologist, a dietician, registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, and advanced nurse practitioners. Additionally, counselors, social workers, teachers and numerous other support staff assist with each patient's care. |

What should I bring into treatment? Patients should bring comfortable clothes and toiletries. Fresh linens are supplied, and washers and dryers are available in our facility. |

Is transportation provided?
Yes, within 30 miles of Lighthouse at Mays Landing. |

Can I have contact with my family?
Phones are available at designated times. Visitors are welcome on Saturdays, for adult patients, and Sundays, for adolescent patients. |

May I visit the facility prior to admission?
Yes, arrangements can be made in advance by contacting the admissions office during business hours (9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday–Friday). |

Do you have an “open-door” policy?
Yes. We take walk-ins and are not a locked-down facility. |

Is my treatment confidential?
Yes, all information obtained during treatment is covered by the Federal Confidentiality Law, which states that health providers may not give out information regarding your treatment without your written consent. In addition, Lighthouse acknowledges the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA) standards regarding the use of protected health information (PHI). |

What if an individual is resistant to getting treatment?
Admissions personnel are available to assist you with the intervention process. |

Is your facility affiliated with a specific religion/denomination?
No. Lighthouse is a secular facility with a policy of welcoming individuals from diverse backgrounds. |

When does the family program meet?
Our family program meets on Monday nights from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., for both inpatients and outpatients. This meeting is held at our Mays Landing facility except for the 1st Monday of each month, when it is held at our facility in Manahawkin. Inpatients and outpatients from all facilities are welcome to attend. |

Are patients allowed to smoke in your facility?
Adults can smoke in designated areas outside of our buildings, as our facility is smoke-free indoors. No underage smoking is allowed. |
